You Can Make Good Choices For Your Eyes (written for Natural Vision)

We so often take our vision for granted until it becomes impaired-or worse, we have our vision taken from us. So many of people consider glasses, contacts, or expensive surgery as their only options for seeing well again. Actually, you can learn and do eye exercises to improve your vision. You could even improve your vision so dramatically that you may not need glasses or contacts anymore.

If you eat healthy foods and exercise now for your body's sake, you can basically do the same thing for your eyes and get similar results-more healthy eyes as the years go on.

One minor eye issue that some have is red or puffy eyes. If you suffer from this, you can put aloe vera gel or coconut oil around your eye area. That area is so thin and transparent, and it requires very gentle handling. If you experience with eyestrain and an overall feeling of "tiredness" in your eyes, look for ways to relieve stress in your life. Yoga, deep breathing, and some forms of meditation may serve you well.

Deep breathing and blinking can be a great way to rest your eyes. Try looking as far away as possible, taking a deep breath in, and then look down as far as possible and exhale. Next, blink your eyes multiple times. You can repeat this same exercise with your head looking to the far left and then the far right. Also, do the exercise moving your head in the diagonal directions.

Your diet plays a role in your eye health. Eating plenty of leafy greens will give you iron, vitamin A, B, and C, and it will purify your blood. Eggs too are very good for your eyes-especially the nutrients in the yolks. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables are a great choice for your eye health. Look for those that are rich in beta-carotene, such as: carrots, papaya, mangoes, squash, and spinach.

Exercise Your Eyes Anywhere

If you were educated on how to best care for your eyes, would you try? You could maintain your healthy eyesight or restore your impaired vision if you would treat your eyes well.

Prevention is always easier and better than repairing. While some conditions lead to unavoidable impaired vision, so many eyesight issues can be avoided. Currently, there are many natural techniques that you can learn about and practice to maintain healthy eyes or to restore your impaired vision.

Start by practicing on focusing on near and far objects. Use your thumb at the end of your outstretched arm. Give yourself a "thumbs up" sign with an outstretched arm, and stare at it for a few seconds. Then, choose something else to focus on about twenty inches away from your thumb. Then, return your focus to your thumb. Breathe deeply during this exercise to increase the blood flow to all the muscles working while you are doing this simple exercise.

To relax your eye muscles, use the "palming" technique. Hold you body in good posture and breathe deeply. Then, warm your hands by rubbing them together a little. Put your hands over your eyes with your finger on your forehead. Stay in this position for a few minutes and feel your eye muscles relax. Repeat this several times.

Another specific eye exercise that can help improve your vision is called the "eye circle exercise." Simply start by looking up, and then slowly rotate your focus in a clockwise direction about ten times. Then, do the same thing in a counter-clockwise direction. Your muscles will improve in strength and flexibility, and soon your vision will improve.

Lasik Surgery May Be A Great Option

People without impaired vision often don't realize how blessed they are to do all that they do without needing any help for their eyes. People who have impaired vision can get frustrated with the limitations of their vision.

Plain and simple, you need to be able to see to "do life." Parents especially like to be able to watch and enjoy their children and all of their children's activities. If their eyesight prevents them from doing this conveniently, it can alter their parenting experience. Children themselves need to be able to see well in order to complete homework, have fun with friends, and participate in sports.

If you are having trouble seeing well, and it is interfering with your day-to-day life, what can you do? Glasses aren't always an easy option as they can be cumbersome. And contacts require quite a bit of care. Just plain old good vision would be nice to have, wouldn't it?

Maybe it's time to look into lasik surgery. While it can be expensive, the results may balance out the cost. No more glasses, nor more contacts, just life with good vision.
